A new episode of Benhebek ya Baladna will promote the safe and proper use of prescription medicine. The episode will highlight the dangers of using prescription medicines inappropriately and dissuade citizens from taking medical advice from friends or family that are not professionals. The episode will broadcast on local stations December 26th, 2010 and will be made available on the cartoon’s website here. USAID’s PA Capacity Enhancement (PACE) project implemented by Chemonics Int. designed the cartoon to serve as a fun and creative public communication tool for the PA to use. The theme of the episode was proposed by USAID’s Flagship project, which works with the Ministry of Health to improve health services for Palestinians. Focusing on an issue not related to any PACE partner ministries demonstrated the potential of the cartoon to serve as a general communication tool for the PA.
